Everything started in their kitchen where Stephen and Allison were mixing fresh fruit juice with a type of vinegar called ACV (apple cider vinegar). ACV works as a prebiotic and I’d say that prebiotics stimulate the growth of bifidobacteria and lactobacillus, but I think it’s better if I just say that prebiotics improve digestion and strengthen the immune system. Anyway, Stephen and Allison’s idea was to make a soda drink that tastes great and has health benefits.

That’s how Poppi was born. Later on, thanks to the Shark Tank investment, Poppi rebranded, and today they deliver delicious, healthy sodas everywhere!

Speaking of health benefits, I have to say that both brands did the impossible – they managed to make a healthy soda drink. Poppi soda improves your immunity and gut health. The key star ingreadient – ACV has so many health benefits. The main drawback is the overpowering taste, but folks at Poppi managed to shush it with many different flavors.

After nearly a decade-long research, people at Olipop came with OLISmart formula – a blend of 8 unique botanicals, plant fibers, and prebiotics that are beneficial in so many ways.

In terms of flavors, even though Olipop has 11 and Poppi 9 flavors, both brands made a huge variety of options for their customers. From Classic Root Bear, Cherry Vanilla all the way to Raspberry Rose and Ginger Lime, they’ve got it all.

The Verdict: Olipop or Poppi Soda Winner is?

In this review I analyzed two amazing healthy soda brands. It’s a great thing that there are healthy sodas out there so we don’t feel guilty anymore while downing a refreshing sizzling beverage.

Both Poppi and Olipop sodas contain prebiotics that are beneficial in many ways. Poppi relies on ACV while Olipop relies on its OLISmart blend. Both brands offer so many flavors you will fall in love with. The main difference lies in subscription and shipping options.

As I’ve mentioned already, everything is straightforward on Olipop’s website including subscription, shipping and return policies, and you can find uself FAQs.

On the other hand, when I was about to purchase a can of Poppi soda, I was redirected from DrinkPoppi.com to Amazon.com where I was offered checkout and shipping options.

I really think this is a major drawback. If I wanted to get something from Amazon, I’d go there, I wouldn’t visit the brand’s website.

Also, I think that OLISmart formula is slightly more beneficial than ACV and plus ACV has super strong taste that’s difficult to overpower.

Anyway, whether you get Poppi or Olipop, you will get a refreshing and healthy beverage, no doubt about that.
