All things considered, I must say, Pair is pretty impressive. It does come with more lenses options to accommodate any of your needs, and once you kit out your glasses fully it comes in at a much more affordable price than Felix Gray.

While the prices start at $60 and $95 consecutively, the prices will vary depending on the frames you choose, and the lens types you get after the fact. But again, more affordable than Felix Gray, that’s for sure.

Does Pair Eyewear Have Prescription Renewal?

We have seen some brands for glasses provide a way to renew your prescription, and this is very convenient option to have. Usually, eyewear brands such as these, have optometrists on-call and medical experts that can evaluate progress, tweak or renew your prescription.

But does Pair have prescription renewal? Unfortunately, Pair doesn’t have prescription renewal at the time of writing. However, that might change in the future as more and more brands offer it, either in-house or through a third-party.

Up until this point, we do know a lot about Pair eyewear, and what they offer. It was nice to see their transition from kids’ glasses to adult glasses as well, considering how well they did for creating the best of the best glasses for children.

One thing which Pair does best is customize. Compared to other companies for glasses from the same caliber, Pair is by-far the most customizable.

After finding your perfect frames, you can choose your frame color, which usually includes 1-10 options, but it doesn’t end there. After doing so, you can choose your top frames, and here there are much more options available.

Whether it be flat colors, or themes like Marvel, 4^th of July, NHL, or others, there is a chance that Pair has it. While not many people are fans of themed top frames, some do like them. Plus, it doesn’t have to be a particular theme, there are tons of designs which are incredibly interesting.

Most of the designs for the frames and top frames are lively, interesting, and fun, but there are formal and down-to-earth options as well. I would have loved to see some frames with thin metal around the lenses, but all in all, I was impressed by how many choices there are.

How Can You Send Your Prescription to Pair?

In other words, Pair will give you instructions on measuring your pupillary distance in an interesting way. You can take a picture with Pair’s virtual measurement tool with a computer or a notebook, or by using a ruler. Pretty cool.

There are tons of lens varieties I’m suspecting at your local optometrist’s office. However, that is the case with Pair as well. So, if you like to get some prescription sunglasses with Pair, you can do so.

Simply, after choosing your frame design and color, then your top frames, you’re taken to the lens types section. Here, you can tweak your lenses to accommodate your needs, or get special lenses like prescription sunglasses lenses.

To get a better idea of the lens variety, and just how easy and convenient it is to get glasses from Pair, let’s look at the whole shopping process.

How To Purchase Glasses From Pair?

Compared even to more well-renowned brands, Pair is one of the easiest to get glasses from.

It seems like Pair has put a lot of though in making the shopping experience seamless and super straightforward. Instead of being bombarded with options (which Pair has a lot), everything is orderly and presented in a fashion that is digestible, even for those like me who don’t have the slightest clue about most of the information given.

Anyways, on the topic of just how easy it is, here is the whole purchase process:

1. From Pair’s homepage, you either choose men, women, or kids’ glasses.
2. Then, you’re presented with a handful of frame designs with dimensions, fit, and fit guide with all information needed to give you an idea whether the frames will be a good fit for you.
3. You choose a design, and click on ‘Design your /’ button.
4. First part is choosing your frame color from a couple of options.
5. Then, you can choose your top frames on the second tab, and the third tab is for selecting your lenses.
6. At ‘Select Lenses’ tab, you get three options:
   1. Prescription;
   2. Non-Prescription;
   3. Readers.
7. You choose one, and inside you will get more options to tailor-make your own lenses. Multiple options can be selected like progressive lenses with sunglasses tint just as an example. In other words, there are a lot of varieties, so make ones that will fit your bill.
8. Add to cart, and continue to checkout!

That’s it! You have your first Pair glasses designed and ready to be made for you. Now, depending on whether you chose prescription or non-prescription glasses, at this point, Pair might require you to send in your prescription. And, as we saw, you don’t need to have pupillary distance on it, as you can measure it later.

The Verdict: Should You Get Your Glasses From Pair?

I must confess something. Getting into this, I wasn’t anywhere near on being sold on the idea of getting your glasses online. The whole process seemed a bit daft, I must say. But I couldn’t be any more wrong.

The whole problem that was apparent to me was, how can you know your exact fit, how can you know whether what you’re getting is the real deal, how can you know the quality of the frames? All of these questions for me, were a deal-breaker.

But again, I was completely wrong.

Pair is one of the best brands for glasses that most come across, and the whole shopping experience, is seamless and super convenient. Not to mention the convenience you’re getting by switching to Pair instead of a local supplier.

On the question: Should you get your glasses from Pair? I would answer with a resounding yes!

It is very easy to do so, and fin your exact fit, and furthermore, the prices aren’t as high as some of Pair’s closest competitors.
