Gymshark and Lululemon, names which come up quite often if you’re shopping for some activewear. There is a good reason why these names come up frequently in the activewear space.
They’re relatively well-known for being great alternatives to ‘conventional’ brand like Reebok, Adidas, Nike, Under Armour, and others. But are they less premium or less versatile than those aforementioned brands?
Judging by their customer bases, a lot of people seem not to think so. With that said, let’s put Gymshark and Lululemon head-to-head, and see which brand is better overall, or at least better for you.

Gymshark & Lululemon Difference
Well, for one, they seem to be in completely different price points. Gymshark is more on the affordable side, while Lululemon is a tad bit more expensive. Lululemon still isn’t unreasonably expensive though, much less than other well-known brands.
Other than that, they’re very much alike. Both focus on activewear the most, and both have women and men lineups.
I would say Lululemon has a bit wider range of apparel they manufacture, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Gymshark doesn’t have what you might be looking for.
What I would say though is the fact that Lululemon does appear to have more items on-hand. Usually, some of Gymshark’s best sellers are sold out, and you do have to wait some time before actually getting it. But they’ve implemented a nice feature to let users know when an item is back in stock.

To sum up, Gymshark is more of the budget-friendly option. But still, it is impressive in a lot of regards, some being, quality, designs, comfort, and its return policy is quite reasonable.
We’ll also go through with what some of the customers are saying in the individual reviews.
Gymshark Review
Gymshark is quite impressive. I though that prices would once it got a bit of recognition, but it seems like they’ve stuck to their guns, despite massively growing in popularity.
Gymshark was founded in 2012, but it wasn’t until a few years later when it become very popular. Some of it had to do with some clever marketing, but that only put it on the radar. It was the incredible value that put Gymshark to where it is today.
Usually, with clothing brands, the reviews are somewhat scattered. There are a lot of negative and positive reviews, that’s the nature of clothing products. But Gymshark has managed an impressive 90% 5-star rating on TrustPilot. Quite impressive.
And only a fraction of the reviews are negative.
It’s a very desirable brand as well, particularly in the U.S., despite it being a UK company. But it shows just how good Gymshark is. Great value, for great quality.
Like I said before, there are both men and women activewear, and it’s not as wide of a selection as Lululemon, but if you’re looking for some workout clothes, there’s a chance you’ll find something there.
Despite popular belief, Gymshark doesn’t lower quality to get those cheap prices. At most some pieces are higher quality than Lululemon, and on average, it is only slightly less.

Lululemon Review
Lululemon is definitely one of the most well-known fitness apparel brands at the moment. They have a lot of clothes, ranging from leggings all the way to swimwear.
Their men apparel isn’t as impressive as Gymshark’s, but their women selection is quite impressive. In fact, Lululemon kind of went famous for their women leggings, which trumped the all of the competitors.
Anyways, they have an amazing selection which is very high-quality as well. It’s more expensive than Gymshark, but we did expect that. But recent customer reviews suggest that Lululemon is not what it used to be. And it isn’t because of what you might think. It’s the customer service.
There have been hundreds of recent customer reviews suggesting that the customer service is poor, some orders aren’t being delivered, and some which are delivered have completely the wrong apparel in them.
While the quality, versatility, and breathability hasn’t changed on any of their products, the customer service has gone downhill. We’re assuming that this is mainly due to the pandemic, and the exponential growth of the company, which left the customer service team unable to resolve that many complaints. It’s unfortunate, but the orders which are carried out and are correct, customers don’t have any complaints about the actual products.
With that, let’s review the pros and cons of Lululemon, which might be apparent already:

Gymshark VS Lululemon – Which Has Better Activewear?
So, which one do you go for? Do you go with something like Gymshark which is very cheap considering for the quality, or do you go all out and go with Lululemon?
Well, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for the best value and a killer deal, it’s Gymshark. In my case as well, where I don’t like to overspend on some gym clothes, Gymshark is definitely for me. Plus, I do kind of like the rugged look that Gymshark has, and their designs.
On the other hand, Lululemon has some great quality activewear. They’re quite expensive when compared to Gymshark, but they’ll also last quite a long time.
One downside with Lululemon though, is the customer service. When third-party review sites are filled with negative customer reviews all mentioning the “poor customer service” it isn’t a fluke.
If you do happen to go with Lululemon, make sure you’re aware of those things before going into it. I just hope the poor customer service isn’t the downfall of Lululemon.
Oh and, these are only my assumptions and opinions, and they shouldn’t be taken as a fact.

Final Verdict: Two Great Gym Apparel Brands
Overall, I am impressed with both if I’m honest. I think Gymshark is the better option as of this moment, and should I say, ‘safest’ as well. Plus, it is a killer deal considering some of the items are nearly half of what they would cost at Lululemon.
But I got to give credit where credit is due. Lululemon has some very unique designs and amazing quality which can’t be found elsewhere.
So, to sum up, both brands are very impressive, but they’re at different price points, and practically speaking it shows. But Gymshark is still astonishing for its price if I’m being honest.
