Technology has surely come a long way since then with innovations and such. Cellphones used to be giant bricks and TVs are not slimmer and able to connect to the internet. One such invention that received a major upgrade, one that many no doubt use, is the blender. Blenders are normally kept in one place, preferably near a plug.
But now technology has caught up, allowing the blender to be portable. Introducing the BlendJet, a genius innovation created by John Zheng and Ryan Pamplin, which launched back in 2018. The BlendJet is essentially a blender on the go, allowing people to bring this product with them wherever they go.
Since 2018, however, BlendJet has upgraded their BlendJet, now called the BlendJet 2. Which is the better product, you may ask? Let’s find out.

What Are The Blendjet 1 & 2?
The BlendJet does everything a blender does, but on a more portable scale. No need to set the BlendJet on a countertop and leave it there until you need to use it. You can bring the BlendJet with you wherever you want to go.
But what’s the difference between the two? Well to put it simply, the two BlendJet models do the same exact thing, except the BlendJet 2 is designed to be a more powerful and better version of BlendJet 1.
As you can tell from the names, BlendJet 1 is the first BlendJet model they released to the public. The BlendJet 2 is the upgraded model that’s currently being sold. Both BlendJets use the same TurboJet technology that BlendJet developed for their product, can be charged with USB-C charging port, water resistant, self-cleaning, and quiet enough to use in a library.
The BlendJet difference between the two BlendJets can be distinguished by simply looking at the two side-by-side. The BlendJet 2 is now 16oz, an upgrade from the 12oz of the BlendJet 1. Functionality wise, the BlendJet 2 can blend more than smoothies and shakes. Now, the BlendJet 2 can blend guacamole, pesto, salsa etc.

BlendJet 1 Review
The BlendJet 1 is a revolutionary item. It combines the comfort of a bottle with a blender. No longer will you have to wash a bottle or a glass after using a blender. No, all you have to wash is the BlendJet itself.
The BlendJet consists of a 7.4 Voltage motor that powers 6-point stainless steel blades that blends the contents of the BlendJet. Its 2000 mAh rechargeable battery allows for 10+ blends a day, with only 1 hour recharge after. Not only is it compact, being a 12oz product, it is also easily washable.
The BlendJet 1 is an incredible piece of technology, but like all technologies, it is sadly outclassed with newer models. The BlendJet 1 became obsolete once the BlendJet 2 was released. So much so, that the BlendJet company stopped selling the BlendJet 1 altogether from their website.
It speaks volume on how confident BlendJet is with their newer model, showing their customers that the new and improved BlendJet 2 is better than the BlendJet 1.
That action, however, makes the BlendJet 1 a rare item, since BlendJet no longer sells the item on their website. Still, even if BlendJet no longer showcases the BlendJet 1 on their website, the product is still a solid item.
- Portable blender
- Acts as a beverage container
- No longer being sold on BlendJet website
- No free shipping
- No return policy
BlendJet 2 Review
The BlendJet 2 is a worthy successor to BlendJet’s first model. Its stronger, faster, more durable, and lasts longer. The BlendJet 2 takes all of what makes BlendJet 1 great, and focuses on improving it.
The BlendJet 2 consists of a 5 Voltage motor, an upgrade to BlendJets 1 7.4, meaning the motor does not consume more electricity, allowing the BlendJet 2 to do more than 15+ blends in one day, before having to recharge its 4000 mAh battery. The product still sports 6-point stainless steel blades, but the size of the BlendJet 2 has been upgraded to 16oz.
The BlendJet 2 can also clean itself. You won’t have to stick your hand into the container anymore in order to thoroughly wash it. BlendJet 2 can clean itself simply by turning on the blender after putting in dishwashing soap.
The BlendJet received an amazing upgrade in the form of the BlendJet 2. The product is currently the company’s only available BlendJet for sale, which makes sense. The customer deserves only the best, and that’s what the BlendJet 2 is.
With this being the company’s only available BlendJet on their website, the BlendJet 2 can be delivered for free within 2 days.
If you’re unsatisfied with the product, you can have it returned within 30 days, thanks to BlendJet’s return policy.
- Stronger than the original model
- Components have been individually upgraded
- Free shipping
- Return policy
- Not any cons that I can think of compared to the BlendJet 1
Its easy to say that BlendJet 2 is the better product, solely because it’s the only one that BlendJet is available. That’s just not true at all. BlendJet 1 and BlendJet 2 are both great in their own ways. I can explain why in the next part.
BlendJet 1 VS BlendJet 2 – Which Is The Better Blender?
The better product is obviously the BlendJet 2, no question. It’s an upgraded version of the original, and it does everything the original can do, but better. But that doesn’t mean the BlendJet 1 is obsolete.
Both products do the same thing, but one is better than the other. I admire BlendJet for giving customers the best version of their product, but they have to understand that customers value the ability to choose which version of the product they want.
It’s a bummer that the original isn’t available anymore, but the thing is, the update version is almost the same price, but more performance. Now, if you’re looking for a great deal on the original, there might be some, but say hello to no warranty.
The Verdict: Portable Blenders
Portable blenders are a great new addition to the portable appliances that are being sold everywhere now. The ability to create smoothies wherever you go is surely something you need to experience.
Though there may be a lot of brands that are selling portable blenders, I believe BlendJet is doing it better than the majority of the competition.
